

Who doesn't love banana cars and cabbage cars? Maybe you, but if you test drove one you might feel differently.

I was going to rate this a three but I changed my mind because the artwork and creativity really deserved five stars on their own. I was looking for the golden bug and pointing out all the cool cars and we both enjoyed it. I do like that it engages both the parent and the child. I was ashamed to say that I skipped big chunks of it just so he'd "go the eff to sleep" (like that "children's" book narrated by Samuel L. Then I started reading it and realized how long it was. I was excited to read this to my son because I grew up on Richard Scarry's books.

I learned the hard way not to read this at bedtime.
